What a strange year 2020 has turned out to be. We have all had to adapt to different ways of doing things at home, at work and for our leisure activities - our volunteering is no different. From online meetings with Trustees and volunteer groups to social distancing and smaller groups sizes for our practical conservation volunteers and monitoring and surveying volunteers. Our tea breaks had to be very different as well - for a time there was even no cake!!!

Although challenging at times all our volunteers across LOHP have adapted and embraced the changes we have had to make. Obviously all our events and guided walks have had to be cancelled this year - this included our AGM. To try and show what we have been up to and how hard everyone has been working during these changing times we have created a short film. With the help from local volunteer Penny Lindop who filmed our teams in action, we are pleased to be able to bring you our short film LOHP Update 2020.

We have recently started to run small practical conservation work parties again, adhering to the social distancing guidelines. Our volunteers have been working extremely hard and have just installed two rustic benches on Reeves Meadows. When passing why not stop and take a break on one of the new benches and enjoy the view.
