At the beginning of July we held our 20th Anniversary Celebration - 'Festival on the Fens'. The weather was perfect no rain, no wind and no extremes of temperature - it was just right. Everyone had a great day out - we had nearly 500 visitors throughout the day.

There was plenty to see and do, from visiting the various craft stalls, watching the sheep dog demonstrations, joining us on a guided fen walk to see the orchids or just relaxing with a cold beer while listening to the musicians. A rousing speech was delivered by Simon Barnes writer and journalist who celebrates East Anglian wildlife in his regular blog and the many books he has published about the natural world.

A huge thank you to all the LOHP volunteers, Trustees, stall holders and local charities that gave up their time to help with the event and make it a great success, and most of all thank you to those of you that joined us to celebrate 20 years of LOHP. Here's to another 20 year!!
