About
Little Ouse Headwaters Project (LOHP) is a local charity, dedicated to the restoration, conservation and promotion of enjoyment of the wildlife and landscape of the Little Ouse valley on the Norfolk/Suffolk border, for the benefit of wildlife, people, and the climate.
Get Involved
We organise a range of activities, there is something for everyone from wildlife recording to practical conservation work parties. Why not join us at one of our events or for a guided walk?
Donate
Help us to protect and conserve the habitats and species that are found along the Little Ouse. Your donation will go towards important conservation work to conserve and enhance the specialist habitats and wildlife along the Little Ouse that call this area home.
Support Us
Your membership will help us to maintain, improve and extend the protected habitats along the Little Ouse river corridor for the benefit of wildlife, people, and the climate for ours and future generations.

Get involved and help us to conserve and protect the important habitats and species along the Little Ouse. We have something for everyone.
Why not join us on a Practical Conservation Work Party they are fun, a good way to get fit and de-stress, a great place for meeting people and there are lots of cakes! Volunteering on work parties makes a huge and direct contribution towards the restoration of the sites that we manage.
If work parties aren’t for you then join us to carry out surveying and monitoring across our sites. We carry out surveys on a range of species from the cute and cuddly (Otter, Water Vole, Bat Surveys) to the tiny underwater creatures that live in our rivers (Riverfly Monitoring), to botanical surveys and bird recording.
Alternatively if you have some free time and would like to help us on events or lead guided walks, are passionate about photography, like admin and enjoy data inputting or if you have skills that you think might be of use to us, then get in touch.
