By Sponsoring an Acre, you are helping us to continue to manage the important habitats along the Little Ouse and protect the species that live there for future generations to enjoy

LOHP manages about 200 acres of fens, heaths, meadows and woodland. Each acre costs over £120 a year to look after, with some considerably more. We need regular income for this, in addition to project grant and membership subscriptions.

Our many dedicated volunteers give essential time, energy and labour to help maintain our reserves, but it does need dedicated money as well, especially when we have to pay for equipment to do jobs that volunteers can’t do such as tall hedge cutting, specialised tree surgery and large scale mowing and clearing.

Could you give regular help? Everyone is welcome to become a sponsor - members, non-members, businesses and individuals. Sponsorship costs £120 a year or £10 a month per acre, by standing order. You can of course sponsor more than one acre.

Your sponsorship would help us to maintain the 3 miles (4.8km) of footpaths around our reserves, manage the range of important habitats, maintain the 1,000s of metres of fencing to be able to extensively graze animals across our reserves and help protect the hundreds of species that call them home.

LOHP is dedicated to the restoration, conservation and promotion of enjoyment of the wildlife and landscape of the Little Ouse valley on the Norfolk/Suffolk border, for the benefit of wildlife, people, and the climate. Be a part of it, sponsorship for yourself – or as a gift – will give you the satisfaction of continually helping to care for a very special area of our countryside.

As a thank you for commitment to LOHP and to our environment, if you wish, your name can appear on our website.
